Botron Software, maker of Configuration Manager for Jira, is now Appfire
We’re pleased to announce our acquisition of Botron Software, the maker of Jira apps loved by power admins everywhere. By adding this amazing brand of Atlassian apps to the Appfire family, our customers will have even more incredible change and configuration management tools to help scale their Jira operations.
The Botron team first emerged in the Atlassian ecosystem eight years ago, and our co-founders were able to meet them as a young company. Now, Botron is a top Marketplace vendor with a 32-person team, 4 high-performing apps, and an award-winning Atlassian migration services team.
We couldn’t be more excited to join forces with Botron. Our teams share a dedication to innovation and excellence, and a strong commitment to building sustainable solutions for teams.
“Here at Appfire, we’re building a platform that brings the best of the Atlassian ecosystem together,” our CEO Randall Ward noted. “We are thrilled to welcome Botron to our team and can’t wait to see what new ways we’re able to build on the incredible work they’re already doing.”
This is our first acquisition following our recent PE funding and partnership with Silversmith Capital Partners, which we announced earlier this month.
About Botron
Botron was one of the first companies to bring end-to-end data portability to the Atlassian ecosystem. Their flagship app, Configuration Manager for Jira, revolutionized the way teams approach migrating and consolidating Jira configurations as well as managing multiple instances on a daily basis. The distinct capabilities of Botron’s Jira apps provide much-needed enterprise best practices for thousands of companies worldwide.
“By joining forces with Appfire, we strengthen our commitment to bringing innovation, excellence, and sophisticated yet flexible solutions to the Atlassian user base,” Peter Toudjarski, one of Botron’s co-founders, said.
What does this mean for Botron’s customers?
We’re committed to providing teams with all-star product support as well as continuous improvements to their app experience. As an award-winning Platinum Top Vendor, our team has 15 years of expertise in the Atlassian ecosystem. And our Bob Swift, Wittified, and Feed Three product brands comprise the largest portfolio of apps on the Atlassian Marketplace, so we’re well-versed in helping teams of all different sizes and across every industry.
When it comes time to renew licenses, Botron customers won’t have to worry about any changes in the renewal process and will be able to renew through the Atlassian Marketplace or their Atlassian reseller.
