Shaken, not stirred: Appfire’s first partner retreat is a smashing success

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again — our partners are absolutely integral to our business and we love working with them. So, what better way to thank them than to host our first-ever Appfire Partner Retreat in Nice, France?!

The retreat was an opportunity to introduce our partners to our newly expanded Channel team, share our main goals and areas of focus for 2023, and collaborate on how we can work better together to serve our mutual customers. There were presentations, one-on-one sessions, and of course lots of great conversation, food, and fun in the form of a James Bond theme throughout the event.

From Nice with love

The event kicked off with a welcome reception during which our Channel team got to meet partners who flew in from around the world.

Day one of the retreat featured an introduction by Appfire’s SVP of Global Channel & Field Operations, Colin Puckett, to set the stage for the event. Colin covered some of the key areas of focus for Appfire, like our expanded focus on our partners, and how our fast-growing Channel team plans to work even closer with them in 2023. Then our President and COO Bob Nicholson gave a presentation on Appfire today, and our VP of Corporate Development George Lannon shared more on Appfire’s recent acquisitions. Finally, Ed Gaile, the incomparable Atlassian Community Leader and Appfire’s newest Senior Sales Solution Architect, discussed how our “Better Together” approach is evolving in the form of multi-app solutions that solve common customer pain points and better align with partner practice areas and Atlassian Specializations. One example was “Migrate and Manage,” where we have a trusted collection of Appfire products that can bring a holistic approach to efficient migration from a single, trusted vendor.

Then the group hopped on a bus and explored the beautiful vineyard of Château de Belle.

Day two of the retreat was all about how we’ll execute on what was shared on day one. As Director of Channel Marketing, I got to present with Senior Director of Channel Programs & Enablement Rick Buie on some of the exciting new programs and campaigns we’ll launch next year to support and elevate our partners.

To close out the program, we all dressed in our best cocktail attire and spent the evening at the famous Monte Carlo Casino, which was a real bucket list item for many of our James Bond fans in the group.

Partners are forever

The Appfire Partner Retreat gave us the amazing opportunity to get quality, in-person time with some of our most engaged partners and to hear what they have to say about Appfire products and solutions. It was also a chance to share with our partners more of what we’re working on at Appfire to help expand their knowledge of how they can integrate those solutions into their workflows.
