Interactive Planning Sessions
Inspired by Planning Poker®, this estimation method is recommended for Scrum teams that estimate Story Points at the same time. Ideal for both co-located or remote teams. It facilitates discussion and consensus for better estimation accuracy.
Relative Backlog Estimations
This mode is about sorting issues into buckets based on their relative size. Teams set rough estimates, discuss, and select the most accurate estimate for each backlog item during unbiased voting.
Align Teams with Asynchronous Estimates
Recommended for distributed teams but works great for all teams that want to estimate at different times and prefer estimations based on consultation to agree on final estimates.
More Agile Poker for Jira features
Flexible estimation values
Easily switch between the most recommended sets of estimation values from a Fibonacci sequence, T-shirt sizes, or create custom values. Check them out and choose the most suitable based on your team’s preference.
Epics and sub-tasks estimation
All session types of Agile Poker support estimating Epics and Sub-tasks. Enable Epics, Sub-tasks, or both under the Issue types dropdown during the game creation process, and you’re all set.
Triangulation issues
While choosing an estimate, you will see three recent issues with hovered estimate value. The moderator can configure up to three issues from the past, and the team can use them as reference points to avoid the effects of estimation inflation.
Multi-field estimation
It allows estimation based on multiple Jira fields per issue and, optionally, calculates the final score based on those fields. We have provided out-of-the-box support for several popular prioritization frameworks, like WSJF, ICE, RICE, Impact/Ability, or PERT.
Unbiased voting
Individual votes are not revealed to others while voting is in progress. Only after all votes are cast can the moderator display the votes, ensuring the session runs unbiasedly.
Slack integration
Slack integration is available for Asynchronous session invitations and notifications. Select the Slack option from session creation or configuration pages, connect with a Slack workspace, and select a channel, and your team will receive scheduled communications via Slack.
The most flexible estimation solution in Jira
