Earlier this week, Appfire was onsite in Las Vegas at Atlassian Team ‘23 – the ultimate event for modern teamwork. During the event, Appfire was named Atlassian Partner of the Year 2022 for the Enterprise Apps category, recognized for our Appfire Trust Center. The trust center, a project led by Chief Information Security Officer Doug Kersten and General Counsel Christine Alpers, launched last year and connects customers, partners, and prospects to the latest information on the security, privacy, and compliance of Appfire’s products and services. 

With support for Atlassian server products slated to end in February 2024, customers are planning their cloud migration strategies. And with Atlassian investing heavily in security and compliance initiatives for the cloud, customers need app vendors who are following suit. The Appfire Trust Center ensures that as our customers move to the cloud, they have the information they need to do so securely.

Today, some of the world’s most well-known enterprise companies have used the Appfire Trust Center to make purchasing decisions. The trust center serves as a single knowledge base on security, privacy, and compliance for Appfire’s products, and includes commonly requested pre-completed questionnaires and information about Appfire’s ISO 27001 certification and SOC 2 audit status. Customers can also connect directly with Appfire’s support team from the trust center. Appfire has actively participated in Atlassian’s security and privacy initiatives to make sure we are aligned with their strategy.

Over the past year, we’ve introduced a number of enterprise-grade programs, including an information security management system, governance risk and compliance program, and an incident management program. While the majority of Appfire’s apps are Cloud Fortified, we’ve also implemented a vulnerability management program that builds on the Cloud Fortified badge requirements to include the following:

• Fully integrated Source Code Analysis
• Enterprise-grade static and dynamic application security testing
• Cloud security compliance testing
• Vulnerability management testing
• Internal and third-party penetration testing
• Consolidation of our bug bounty programs
