We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve received a significant, strategic investment from Silversmith Capital Partners. Read on to learn more about what this means for our customers.
For nearly 15 years, teams everywhere have trusted Appfire to bring efficiency, automation, and insight to their Atlassian experience. Thanks to you, our inspiring customers, we’ve been able to build a thriving software company with 80+ team members, a portfolio of three brands, and 60+ apps on the Marketplace.
Now, we’re excited to take that growth to the next level with our first-ever outside investment from Silversmith Capital Partners, a Boston-based growth equity firm.
From the beginning, Appfire’s growth has been fueled solely by our founders and organic revenue. These new funds will allow us to continue improving your experience with our products and further expand through additional acquisitions within the Atlassian ecosystem, as we’ve done in the past with our acquisitions of Bob Swift and Wittified.
Why Silversmith?
We chose to partner with Silversmith because we have a shared passion for long-term, sustainable growth. The team at Silversmith believes in our mission of helping teams everywhere work better together. And their leadership team has impressive experience growing product brands within the Salesforce ecosystem, a truly awesome match for our own proven track record within Atlassian’s ecosystem. Strategically, this partnership just makes sense.
Even more importantly, Silversmith shares our core values. Here’s how our Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer Mat Gauvin describes joining forces with Silversmith:
“Here at Appfire, we believe in ‘Building the Flame.’ That means making sensible, future-focused moves and planning for long-term success. Our goal is to be known for our values and how we live them — being human, making things that matter, lighting the way, and thriving on change, among others. We’ve found that shared worldview with Silversmith and we’re thrilled to continue growing with them as a partner.”
What does this news mean for our customers?
You can have even more confidence that the team at Appfire has our eyes on the future of teamwork with Atlassian tools. We’re here to build a company that lasts and products that you can depend on. Here’s what you can expect from us in the coming months:
- Better product experience. You’ll see many more app improvements like a better in-app experience, easier product onboarding, added features, additional cloud-supported apps, and more.
- Expanded customer support. Organizations work across time zones and with staggered schedules. We plan to enhance our support team, improve our documentation, and increase support hours. We hear from our customers that we have some of the best support in the Atlassian ecosystem, and we’re doubling down in this important area to better serve you.
- More amazing brands and apps. As mentioned, we will use this funding to replicate our past successful acquisitions of other ecosystem app vendors. This means that we’ll add more unique and useful products to our line-up — quite possibly some apps you already know and love — and continue to invest in improving and supporting those new additions.
- Increased support for local partners. We know that Atlassian Solution Partners are a vital part of our customers’ success. We plan to invest in building stronger partner networks, providing more training and resources for partners, and creating a more robust support system for partners.
We’ll also continue working with app creators across the Atlassian ecosystem to help them achieve the same kind of awesome growth we’ve seen with our own apps brands.
Making it matter
We’re grateful for the journey we’ve shared so far and incredibly excited about what this next chapter holds for us all. We can’t wait to share more developments with you and learn more about how we can support teams of every shape and size. Like we always say, our customers are the reason we build software. 🙂
