We’re excited to share that Appfire has received an Activation Accelerator Award from analytics software company Amplitude! This recognition, part of Amplitude’s Pioneer Awards, recognizes a dedicated customer who leverages Amplitude to grow their active user base, and that has executed strategic initiatives that have improved digital adoption, optimized acquisition strategies, or grown market share among existing customers over the past year.
Activation is vital to product growth because it precedes the majority of other steps in a traditional user journey and connects customers to our product’s value. As Appfire has grown over the last several years, both organically and through acquisitions, it became critically important to create and align a portfolio-wide approach to activation methodology, instrumentation, and analysis. Our initial focus was on creating a singular flexible-yet-standard approach to activation. Once finalized, Appfire leaned on Amplitude's intuitive and flexible user interface to bring its app-agnostic activation framework to life.
In 2023, Appfire’s Growth team fully operationalized its approach to activation and evangelized Amplitude across the entire organization. As a result, the team moved the needle on activation for some of the top apps in Appfire’s portfolio. In just eight months this year, the Growth team established a common portfolio-wide activation methodology, defined activation journeys for nearly 40 products, collected baselines for those activation journeys via Amplitude, and ran activation experiments across more than 20 apps. Today, the team continues using Amplitude to identify gaps in the activation journey and measure the impact of activation experiments and improvements.
