The general attitude towards Agile methodologies is positive. Decision makers and organizations recognize the value Agile methodologies offer. Yet, as we catch glimpses of possible enhancements and discover hidden advantages that can bring even more benefits to organizations, there’s an opportunity to expand our understanding in this realm.
We interviewed 450 decision makers from mid-market and large enterprises across 14 countries, in July 2023.

The numbers show:
Integration & scalability 92% are confident that integrating technology into their existing processes and procedures has been smooth thanks to their knowledgeable staff – who are well-versed in the right tools. | Agile transformation & inclusion 92% of those who have adopted Agile practices report that their organizations have gained greater adaptability and flexibility, allowing them to accommodate a variety of frameworks and applications. |

A whopping 94% of respondents are thrilled with their organization’s readiness for Agile, boasting robust integration and scalability.

The maturity of Agile transformation seems tied to the ease of adoption, highlighting the importance of aligning resources with the organization’s Agile journey.

Agile brings lots of impactful benefits, with improved communication at the forefront, elevating both business outcomes and employee experiences.

Mid-market vs. large enterprises

A striking contrast emerges between mid-market and large enterprises, with mid-market companies (65%) better able to recognize diversity and inclusivity than their larger counterparts (45%) — likely due to their smaller workforce scale.

And when considering the strategies these organizations use to enhance their adaptability, the standout performer is the ability to deploy staff with increased flexibility (70%), with the appropriate allocation of tools and equipment (62%) coming in a close second.

Agile brings hidden advantages that subtly impact the organization. These “unseen” advantages are often natural outcomes of Agile implementation (rather than direct outcomes). For example, Agile’s unforeseen benefits emerge in the realm of environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) sustainability initiatives, where improved monitoring of contributions raises awareness across all practices, including waste reduction efforts.
