We’re coming in hot! The past few months have flown by for the 7pace Timetracker team. We wrapped up our Early Access Program and officially launched the commercial version of 7pace Timetracker for monday.com on the marketplace in January. Since then, we've hit 1,700 installs and counting! We’re keeping this momentum going by adding fresh new features that bring greater flexibility to time tracking in monday.com.

Let’s dive into the most recent additions to the app.

New features that turn time tracking flexibility up a notch

Custom Fields

One of the most exciting additions to 7pace Timetracker for monday.com is the introduction of Custom Fields, which lets you record more details with your time entries using configurable toggles and dropdowns. This super flexible feature can be customized within the settings section of your 7pace Timetracker app in monday.com.

Custom fields can be configured in various ways to help users record detailed time entries consistently. Whether you need a simple yes/no field or a dropdown with multiple options, we’ve got you covered. Here are two popular use cases, although the possibilities extend far beyond these examples.

Billable field: The first example of how you can use the new Custom Fields feature is as a billable field or billable toggle, which can be displayed on the item Add Time view as a required field. It lets individual contributors note if the time entered should be recorded as billable. Managers can filter time reports to either include or exclude billable time.
Time categories: Another example is time categories, which are unique dropdown menus that can be configured and added to the Add Time view to record common types of work. They make it easier to categorize and report on how time is spent.
Overtime: Teams can also configure a Custom Field for overtime. This could work either as a toggle that was slid on if the time recorded was overtime or as a dropdown if more specific details were needed, along with the overtime notation.
Personal time off (PTO): Having a custom field for PTO could be helpful for planning. Team members could preload this time on calendars to inform managers of available capacity. A custom dropdown would likely be helpful in this situation to indicate more specific types of PTO.

Advanced Reporting Filters

Advanced Filtering is now available in the All Times view, making it quick and easy to drill down on specific data for deeper reporting. You can select data from specific workspaces, narrow down reports to include or exclude specific team members, and even report on Custom Field data, like billable or nonbillable hours.

Bulk Editing

The Bulk Editing function allows you to modify attributes (like date, duration, or comments) for several work items simultaneously. Previously, editing something like a date or time entry duration needed to be done individually, taking up precious work time. Bulk editing enables you to make more changes faster, giving you extra time to analyze insights. Select multiple work items and modify them all at once.
