Atlassian's new System of Work

At the event, Atlassian unveiled a revolutionary system of work, reimagining how teams collaborate. With a focus on alignment, planning, and knowledge sharing, this approach promises to elevate organizational efficiency to new heights.

Teamwork foundations = Jira + Confluence + Loom

Atlassian envisions a shared foundation for all teams, fueled by the synergy between Jira, Confluence, and Loom. This unified framework empowers teams to delve deep into their specialties while remaining interconnected with broader organizational goals.

Project management with Jira

Jira Work Management (JWM) and Jira Software have merged into a single, comprehensive “Jira” platform, catering to the diverse needs of all teams. This integration introduces features including:

Goals integration: Integrate company objectives from Atlas Goals into Jira workflows for enhanced alignment.

In-line editing and configuration: Customize terminology, such as task types, directly within Jira for greater flexibility and alignment.

New list view: Experience a new spreadsheet-style interface for efficient task management and organization.

AI-driven enhancements: Automate project breakdowns and receive recommendations based on work progress.

Premium plan benefits: Unlock access to Plans, including cross-project progress tracking and advanced analytics, exclusively available for Jira Premium users.

Goals platform

Atlas, now part of the Atlassian platform, is available to all users free of charge. The Goals platform, accessible through the Early Access Program, empowers every team member to align their work with organizational objectives.

Introducing the next era of Jira

Jira adapts to meet the evolving needs of modern organizations. With a renewed focus on shared goals, progress tracking, and contextual collaboration, Jira emerges as a powerful tool for diverse teams. Enhanced with AI capabilities, including task breakdown and natural language automation rules, Jira is poised to revolutionize project management.

Especially when paired with Confluence.

Knowledge Management & sharing with Confluence

Confluence plays a pivotal role in sharing knowledge across silos. Notable features include:

Confluence Whiteboards: Facilitate team brainstorming with built-in voting capabilities and seamless integration with Jira. Automatically create issues in Jira, link them, and assign them to the right person directly from your whiteboard sessions. Transform your whiteboards into Confluence pages for easy documentation and sharing.

AI-enhanced capabilities: Soon to be introduced, AI-powered features will enhance brainstorming sessions by categorizing team ideas and content, generating summaries, and action items for collaborative work.

Smart links in Confluence content tree: Integrating content from third-party apps directly into the Confluence navigation tree for streamlined access and reduced context-switching.

Confluence company hub: Offering a customizable intranet solution for organization-wide or team-specific use, currently available in an Early Access Program (EAP) or beta phase.

(Also, don't miss out on Dashboard Hub for Confluence! Now featuring a Confluence Custom Charts gadget that surfaces diverse insights from Confluence Pages, along with a Comala Document Management integration, enhancing your knowledge management capabilities.)

Transcript generation: Loom AI automatically generates transcripts, descriptions, titles, and tables of contents, enhancing content accessibility.

Personalization: Loom allows for personalization, like incorporating first names for sales prospecting.

As organizations embrace new possibilities with Jira, Confluence, and Loom, Atlassian's commitment to innovation extends beyond project management to cloud transformation and heightened security.
